Special Projects and Causes
Partner with Us
The St. Luke’s Church family, Cross Rds., Jamaica invites you to support our roster of impactful projects making a difference in lives and communities. Join our mission by making a contribution to help those most in need.
St. Simon’s Basic School
A flagship outreach project, the school is situated on Penn Street, Jones Town, Kingston, and provides an education for approximately 150 students. There is a sponsorship and fundraising committee comprising members of St. Luke’s Church which assists with the administration of the school. A special collection is taken for the school on the first Sunday of each month at the 7:30 a.m service.
Senior Citizens’ Home
Located at 21 Brentford Road, the home is close to the Church and comprises 12 studio apartments at a low cost to the residents, who are mainly sponsored. The operational expenses for the Home are supplemented by sponsors and donations. Donations are welcomed for this outreach.
Ministry to the Poor and Vulnerable
We serve a hot breakfast every Wednesday Morning following the 7:00 a.m. Holy Communion Service. The elderly and needy in the Cross Roads environs are welcomed to our Church Hall each week and provided with hygiene tips in addition to their meals. Each Christmas, beneficiaries receive a hot lunch, a package of groceries and personal care products, and a cash grant. The soup project is an extension of the Breakfast programme and has similar objectives. Soup is served at midday on alternate Fridays.
